Andrzej Krakowski was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1946. He is an international screenwriter, film/theatre director and producer. Some of his past film credits include: Triumph of the Spirit and Eminent Domain, for Columbia Pictures, Tides of War, for HBO, and White Dragon, for CBS. He is the former Chairperson of the Film Department at Purchase College/SUNY and has also taught at UCLA and NYU.
His production of a 10-episode dramatic TV series, titled We Are New York, was funded by and produced for the Mayor’s Office of New York and won two Emmy Awards in 2010.
Krakowski currently teaches screenwriting and producing at the City College of New York.
