Kathleen “Kit” Kazmier is a senior Illustration major at Moore College of Art. As part of her 2015 summer internship at the Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival, this talented graphic artist was tasked with designing two dozen film poster illustrations to promote the films shown at this season’s Festival. In order to conceptualize each poster’s illustration, Kit not only had to watch and take notes on each of the films, but sketch preliminary ideas so that she and the Director of the Festival could determine what direction would best communicate the message of the film.
This exhibition is presented in conjunction with DESIGNPHILADELPHIA, a festival dedicated to demonstrating Philadelphia’s re-emergence as a 21st century city shaped by design, technology, and collaborative business practices.
The artist will be present to talk about her work and experience at PJFF. This event is free to the public with a suggested donation of $5. Refreshments will be served.
