Hannah Pollin-Galay is currently the Phyllis G. and Richard D. Heideman Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies, U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. She completed her BA at Columbia College in Yiddish Studies and English Literature in 2004 and her PhD at Tel Aviv University in History in 2014.
Her research, which draws on both disciplines, explores the connection between oral language, place and historical imagination.Her forthcoming articles will appear in journals such as Jewish Social Studies, Holocaust and Genocide Studies, and Prooftexts.
She is currently working on a book about the testimony of Lithuanian Jewish Holocaust survivors, based on research she conducted as a Fulbright Fellow in Lithuania. She has held fellowships and teaching positions at Columbia University, Ben Gurion University, and the University of Haifa.
