Master Class
Writing for Television with BoJack Horseman Creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg
Co-Sponsored by Penn Cinema and Media Studies

In this FREE Master Class, Raphael Bob-Waksberg, creator of the hit Netflix series BoJack Horseman, shares insight into his creative process and what it takes to write an original comedy series with unforgettable characters that connect with audiences and tap into the cultural zeitgeist. From turning everyday observations into inspired ideas to transforming those very ideas into enthralling, fleshed-out stories, Raphael will use examples from his favorite BoJack moments to get you writing and on your way to conceptualizing your pilot episode!

Raphael Bob-Waksberg is a writer of television shows such as BoJack Horseman (which he created), books such as his collection of short stories Someone Who Will Love You in All Your Damaged Glory, and bios such as this one.

For participants who have not yet seen the show, we encourage you to start watching BoJack Horseman today! Available on Netflix HERE

Moderated by Peter Decherney, Director of Penn Cinema and Media Studies, and Olivia Antsis, GPJFF Executive Artistic Director.
