Iris Zaki


Dr. Iris Zaki is an award-winning documentary filmmaker who uses quirky first-person narratives to depict communities. She recently finished her PhD at Royal Holloway, University of London, which explored her own innovative interviewing technique that she has named The Abandoned Camera. Her works screened at numerous international film festivals and won many awards, including at Karlovy Vary, Visions du Reel and the British Grierson Awards.

Her short film, Women in Sink (2015), received 13 awards and screened at over 120 festivals, including ours!
